Google Ads will replace Smart Shopping Campaign and Local Ads Campaign with Performance Max Campaigns by the end of September 2022.

Performance Max Campaigns will come with a few new upgrades, such as

1. New ads inventory available
2. New automation insights
3. Ads inventory will be added across the YouTube, Search, and Discovery networks for Google.

Google Ads agencies that would like to maintain more control over the Performance Max upgrades have a few options outside of one-click or automatic upgrades.

Not only that, you can start to create new Performance Max Campaigns now. Performance Max Campaigns will have access to the inventory of Smart Shopping Campaign and Local Ads Campaign.
