Google Search Ads brings image extensions to desktop devices

In early 2021, Google announced that image extensions may help you to create a more visually appealing product on Google Search Ads. To help you encourage more visitors to click on Ads and make image extensions even easier to use, Google is rolling out several new improvements.

Use dynamic image extensions with any language

Dynamic image extensions use AI (Artificial Intelligence) to automatically select the most relevant images from your ad landing page. Google will add images immediately from landing pages to the Google Ads groups campaigns. This type of Ad is available in any language, besides English.

Create image extensions using stock images

Google has already known that sourcing visuals to create image extensions can be challenging. To make this easier, the advertiser could use stock images that are free to use in Google Ads. To access the library, select Stock Images when you are asked to choose an image for your image extension. Stock images can be cropped to a square or landscape format directly before adding them to your Google Ads image extension.
